Netflix Just Announced an Awesome New Parental Leave Policy

Good news on the maternity/paternity leave front: Video streaming giant Netflix just announced this week that it will start allowing unlimited maternity and paternity leave to employees for their first year of parenthood.

It goes without saying that Netflix is definitely in the minority in terms of parental leave policies in the United States. A large portion of companies offer no paid leave, and the government offers very little financial assistance to those requiring time off from work to have children.

Could Netflix be paving the way to something great? Only time will tell.
